Internet Explorer 11 desktop application ends support for certain operating systems.

Microsoft Edge replaces Internet Explorer

17.05.2022

Internet Explorer (IE) 11 is the last major version of Internet Explorer. Beginning June 15, 2022, the Internet Explorer 11 desktop app will no longer be supported on certain versions of Windows 10.

Microsoft encourages customers to switch to Microsoft Edge, which provides support for older and modern websites and apps. If your organization needs support for older browsers, you should set up IE mode in Microsoft Edge as soon as possible. To continue using older IE-based websites and apps in Windows 10 and Windows 11, you must configure your affected websites and apps to open in Microsoft Edge using Internet Explorer mode. Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge enables backward compatibility and is supported until at least 2029. In the official guide from Microsoft you can read how it works: https://aka.ms/IEModeWebsite The IE11 desktop app is not available on Windows 11. To continue using older IE-based websites and apps on Windows 11, you must configure IE mode in Microsoft Edge before deploying Windows 11.
